Introduction
Somani International School, Kalwar Road Branch was started in 2004-05. The motto of the school is to provide the right environment to the tender minds to blossom into complete individual that can serve the nation in the true sense of the word. Utmost emphasis is being given on "Value based education" to inculcate the habit of appreciation and acknowledgment of greatness of Indian cultural diversity and heritage. Special attention is being given to orient the young minds to became self- reliant by imparting entrepreneurship skills which is very essential in our national perspective.
Socrates once said that..."The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled." Without opportunities the best powers of the mind remain dormant. There is a fuel in us, which needs to be ignited with sparks of imagination. It could be read out in our logo, 'Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya'- lead me from darkness to light.
The school's belief in the dictum that " Education should be for life not for living" helps in making the school not just a brick building but a haven for its learners. Character development with academic excellence has been the governing principle of all its efforts.
